There’s been much made lately of the wave of teardown/rebuild projects in northeast Johnson County, where longtime residents make sizable investments in new or wholly renovated houses on lots in the neighborhoods they love.

Wellsir, if you’re curious about what it’s like to design and oversee the construction of such a project, we’ve got a site for you.

The Trenkle family is documenting the construction of their new home at the intersection of Oxford Road and 69th Street (just down the block from their current home) on a blog. If you’re interested in what the process looks like, check out their site at trenklehome.com.
