SM East’s Harbinger wins prestigious ‘Gold Crown’ from Columbia organization

HarbieSM East’s journalism program has another feather to place in its cap.

The Harbinger was among just 66 high school publications from across the country to earn a “Gold Crown” award from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association this month. More than 1,200 publications were eligible for the awards.

The Harbinger earned its honor in the CSPA’s Hybrid Publication category. A total of 14 publications earned Gold Crowns in the category.

SM North’s yearbook, The Indian, won a Gold Crown from the CSPA, and SM Northwest’s newspaper, The Northwest Passage, won a Silver Crown.
