Spotted in northeastern Kansas: More birds of prey awesomeness

Yesterday’s bald eagle sighting in Prairie Village provoked a wave of wildlife photo submissions from readers.

Sam Goller and his wife spied this hawk and a squirrel he befriended at 83rd and Briar in PV:

That squirrel’s so funny, playing dead and all. Hahahahahaha, squirrel!

Reader Lee Anna Bagley saw yesterday’s bald eagle photos and wanted to share some of her own. She lives near the river in Kansas City, Kan., and says she spotted 15 of them in the trees over four blocks. Take a look at this shot with five eagles perched in the branches:
