Prairie Village Textile Recycling Program off to good start

Among the vehicles on display at the Prairie Village Earth Fair last weekend was the new Prairie Village Textile Recycling program truck.

The weekly door-to-door textile recycling program pilot that launched in Prairie Village earlier this month got off to a quick start.

In just the first week of pick ups, Team Thrift reports that its truck made 290 stops and picked up 8,311 pounds of recyclables.

In the first two days of the second week of service, it had already picked up an additional 2,270 pounds.

You can find out more about the program here.
