Our story yesterday about northeast Johnson County natives competing in this week’s Olympic swimming trials in Omaha made an unfortunate omission.

2015 Rockhurst High School graduate and Mission Hills native Alex Albracht was there representing the area along with Cailey Grunhard and Bobby Bollier.

Albracht, who will be a sophomore on the swim team at the University of Virginia this fall, earned a berth in the 100 meter breaststroke, where he competed Sunday. Albracht finished 88th out of 135 competitors in the preliminary heats.

Albracht grew up swimming for Carriage Club in the Country Club Swim Association of Kansas City, and set a number of school records at Rockhurst.
