Nearly 200 citizens turned out Saturday for a neighborhood picnic hosted by Westwood and Kansas City, Kan., police.
Officers from a number of neighboring jurisdictions – not just Westwood and KCK – were on hand during the afternoon to talk with residents and answer questions. The Westwood Police Department had initiated the picnic to thank the community for the support shown since the shootings in Dallas and Baton Rouge this summer.
