Yoder’s office offering limited tickets to Trump presidential inauguration. Rep. Kevin Yoder, who won reelection to a fourth term in the House last week, announced his office would be offering a limited number of tickets to President Elect Donald Trump’s Inauguration in January. “Those requesting tickets should note that only a limited number are available, and Yoder’s office will not likely be able to fulfill all requests,” read a release on the announcement. “Tickets will be distributed on a lottery basis, after the submission deadline.” You can find a submission form for requesting tickets here.
Roeland Park “Go Red for Women Community CPR Blitz” hailed as a success. Roeland Park police handed out 35 infant CPR training kits this week to the public as part of the “Go Red Community CPR Blitz” sponsored by the American Heart Association and H&R Block. The kits were intended to educate the public about the importance of CPR in case of an emergency. “We had a great time and look forward to helping more in the future,” said Police Chief John Morris.
Village Presbyterian’s new pipe organ expected to debut this Sunday. Village Presbyterian’s organ is scheduled to have its first preliminary workout Sunday although its still several months away from being fully completed. The $2 million instrument was custom-built in Chattanooga and features 3,800 pipes. If all goes according to plan, principal organist Elisa Bickers will be playing the organ for the first time at the 8, 9:30 and 11 a.m. services.
