Johnson County superintendent says Missouri-side districts have attracted more teachers amid Kansas’s K-12 funding mess. Olathe Public Schools superintendent John Allison said that Kansas-side district are losing out on good teachers as they look to the stability of K-12 funding at Missouri schools. “Typically, in the Johnson County area, Shawnee Mission, Blue Valley, Olathe — your Johnson County schools, would have a waiting list to be able to talk to candidates,” Allison said. “That wasn’t how it occurred this last time.
