Valenti hints that major announcement on Mission Gateway coming soon. The wait to find out what entertainment and food tenants developer Tom Valenti has planned for his new Mission Gateway proposal may soon be over. Valenti told KMBZ last week that he hoped to have a big announcement on the project within the next month. “This whole food and entertainment complex, it think, is going to be just outstanding,” Valenti told the station. “It will definitely work in our favor when it comes to leasing the other components of the project.” [Could it finally happen? Overland Park rep says state party’s move to “oppose all efforts to validate transgender identity” is bad for business. At the Kansas Republican Party’s annual convention this weekend, members of a large committee focused on state issued voted in favor of a resolution that says the party will “oppose all efforts to validate transgender identity.” Overland Park Republican Rep. Stephanie Clayton, however, quickly came out against the measure. “Anti LGBTQIA+ rhetoric is hateful, and bad for the business community,” Clayton said on Twitter. “I do not support this resolution.”
