Shawnee Mission East to host screening of movie about anxiety disorders tonight. Shawnee Mission East will hold a public screening of the movie Angst, an hour-long production that explores anxiety disorders and their treatments. The screening begins at 7 p.m. in the SM East auditorium. It is free and open to the public.

Community Blood Center calls for donations after winter weather canceled many drives. Kansas City’s Community Blood Center is asking for people to make donations after last week’s winter weather canceled many scheduled blood donation drives. “By spreading the word or even hosting your own blood drive, inviting friends, family, and community members, you may save lives in your community,” said David Graham, Executive Director of CBC. “All blood types are needed but we are in dire need of O negative blood with a reserve that is currently below a two day supply.” Visit the organization’s website to find out about options for donating.
