Andy’s Frozen Custard celebrated a grand opening for its newest Johnson County location in southern Overland Park this week.

The company is known for its various forms of frozen custard, offering classic flavors like chocolate and vanilla and seasonal ones like pumpkin and key lime pie.

Where exactly: The store opened at 7781 West 159th St.

  • It now occupies a space on the western side of Building F1 of the Bluhawk shopping center.
  • Regular hours for Andy’s at Bluhawk have not yet been posted to the Andy’s Frozen Custard or Bluhawk websites.

Bigger picture: This marks the fourth local Andy’s franchise to open in Johnson County, and the second to open in the Blue Valley area.

  • Within the past year, the Missouri-based company has expanded with numerous new locations throughout the Kansas City metro area — including another south Overland Park store at the Prairiefire development.
  • Earlier this year, the company also submitted plans for another Overland Park franchise at the Galleria 115 mixed-use development.
  • Andy’s also serves as one of eight new food and retail tenants planned for the Bluhawk development this year.
