Overland Park’s Aspiria signs health care company NationsBenefits as latest tenant

NationsBenefits, a Florida-based health care management firm, has signed on as the latest office-space tenant at Overland Park’s Aspiria campus.

Where exactly: The company will occupy an office space at 6050 Sprint Parkway, on the north end of the former Sprint headquarters campus, which has been renamed Aspiria.

  • NationsBenefits’ space consists of two stories with more than 100,000 square feet of office space.
  • The building neighbors the KeyBank Real Estate Capital building.

What do they do? NationsBenefits is a supplemental benefits company with a focus on health care.

  • According to its website, NationsBenefits partners with providers and managed care organizations to create health care plans for employers and unions.
  • The company also acquired Florida-based meal-delivery company, DeliverLean, earlier this year.
  • Through the acquisition, NationsBenefits reportedly intends to use the meal delivery company to serve low-income populations by expanding its Medicare Advantage and Part D Plan customers, according to the Kansas City Business Journal and South Florida Business Journal.

This comes as the latest addition to the 207-acre mixed-use development — part of which still serves as corporate offices for T-Mobile, which merged with Sprint in 2020.

  • The addition of NationsBenefits follows the recent city approval of what will be a large-scale remodel by developers, Wichita-based Occidental Management.
  • As part of the recently-approved initial phase of remodeling, Occidental also intends to build a 103,430-square foot entertainment facility with go-karts and arcade games — as well as a 419-apartment building with pickleball courts.
  • The building where NationsBenefits will occupy its new office also sits across from the 50,000-square foot Aspiria NOW co-working space on the north end of the campus, which officially opened at the end of September.
  • JLL Properties, the same company that led the leasing transaction for the NationsBenefits space, also currently has a 42,046-square foot office space listed for sale at the campus.
