Arizona-based Peter Piper Pizza coming to Johnson County

Peter Piper Pizza, an Arizona-based pizza chain, is on its way to Johnson County.

Driving the news: The restaurant intends to expand into Johnson County as early as February, under the name Peter Piper Pizzeria, according to a press release.

Where exactly: The first Johnson County location for the restaurant will operate at 15139 W. 119th St. in Olathe.

  • The space neighbors Minit Mart and Crumbl Cookies on the corner of West 119th Street and South Black Bob Road.

About the restaurant: Peter Piper Pizzeria will serve pizzas that were baked on a stone deck pizza oven.

  • The options for pizza topics range from classic cheese or pepperoni to mushrooms, green peppers or black olives.
  • Customers can build their own pizza or choose from some of the restaurant’s topping combinations.
  • Outside of pizza, the menu will feature other items like wings, salads, sandwiches and pastas.

Bigger picture: This marks the first Peter Piper Pizzeria in Johnson County, and the first location under that name as a whole.

  • The chain also has plans to add more locations across the Kansas City metro area, with a second location planned on Ward Parkway in Kansas City, Missouri.
  • The company has already posted job openings for its first Johnson County location on the Peter Piper Pizza website.

Zooming out

While this is the first Peter Piper Pizzeria in Johnson County, the chain is owned and operated by CEC Entertainment, the company behind Chuck E. Cheese.

  • Chuck E. Cheese already has locations in Overland Park and Olathe, plus two more locations on the Missouri side of the Kansas City metro.
