Nekter Juice Bar opening soon at Bluhawk in Overland Park

Nekter Juice Bar, which sells fresh, nutrient-rich juices and smoothies, is set to open its newest southern Overland Park location soon.

The Southern California-based juice chain is eyeing a Saturday, April 29, opening for its new space at 7769 W. 159th St. in the Bluhawk development, according to the company’s Google page.

Nekter sells more than juices and smoothies

  • “Nekter Juice Bar at Bluhawk is the perfect place to go for freshly made juices, smoothies, cold pressed juice cleanses and hand crafted acai bowls,” the company said in a statement.
  • Additionally, Nekter sells wellness shots, which provide consumers with essential vitamins, minerals and antioxidants in a small, shot-size drink.
  • One of the juice bar’s featured superfood smoothies is the “Pineapple Matcha,” which comes with pineapple, matcha green tea, housemade cashew milk, vanilla protein and agave nectar.

This is Nekter’s third Johnson County juicery

  • Another shop in Overland Park is located at 5005 W. 119th St. in Hawthorne Plaza.
  • The juice bar company also celebrated the opening of its first Prairie Village location at Corinth Quarter in July 2021.
  • First opened in 2010, the juicery chain has expanded to over 160 locations across nine states, with plans to expand nationally to more than 400 stores by 2024, according to the company’s website.

  • The development near West 159th Street and U.S. 69 Highway has added various new restaurants this year, including a new Whataburger franchise and JINYA Ramen Bar.
  • Most recently, European Wax Center opened early this month at 7773 W. 159th St. in the shopping development.
  • Bluhawk is also working on the construction of a $125 million youth and amateur sports complex dubbed AdventHealth Sports Park at Bluhawk, which is scheduled to be completed in 2024.
