Welcome to a new week, Shawnee Mission!

🌤 Today’s forecast: Sunny and clear. High: 88. Low: 65.

🚨 One thing to know today

Swifties, beware!

Lenexa Police say fans of Taylor Swift should be mindful of possible ticket scams ahead of the pop megastar’s tour stop in Kansas City next month.

In a social media post, Lenexa PD said one local fan was bilked out of $1,000 when they bought four fake tickets to an upcoming Swift performance at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

Police said the victim bought the fake tickets on Facebook Marketplace and paid the scammer through Venmo.

Warning signs were apparent: namely, that the four tickets cost a total of $1,000 when tickets on verified reseller sites, like StubHub and Ticketmaster, are starting at $1,000 apiece, investigators said.

“Don’t be Enchanted by a deal that seems too good to be true. Shake it Off and use reputable vendors only!” Lenexa PD said. (Those are references to Taylor Swift songs for the un-Swifties among us).

Swift is set to perform on back-to-back nights on July 7-8 at Arrowhead Stadium as part of her Eras tour.
