Casey’s General Store is up and running in Roeland Park.
The Iowa-based convenience store and gas station chain set up shop at 4815 Roe Blvd., formerly a Minit Mart gas station.
This Roeland Park Casey’s features gas pumps
- Casey’s bought the Minit Mart gas station — and its 12 pumps — as part of more than two dozen store acquisitions in the Kansas City market, Kendrew Panyanouvong, a representative with Casey’s previously told the Post.
- The Roeland Park location has gas pumps, unlike the Mission location less than two miles away.
- That Mission location, which took over the former Hartman Hardware store, is only a convenience store.
- “Casey’s is excited about our growth in this market — there’s a lot of transition underway,” Panyanouvong recently told the Post.
The store is planning a renovation
- The Iowa-based chain is still seeking approvals to perform a full interior remodel of the store, Panyanouvong said.
- That includes turning it into a “fully operating and branded Casey’s store,” he said.
- “In the meantime, we are still offering at this location Casey’s snacks, drinks and other convenience items to serve our guests who are always on the go,” Panyanouvong said.
