Where do plans stand for 2 Overland Park 151 Coffee drive-thru spots?

151 Coffee, a Texas-based drive-thru coffee chain, has aims to open two new Overland Park locations in the near future, though the exact timelines are unclear.

Both locations will be on Metcalf Avenue, one near the southwest corner of 91st Street in the Regency Park Shopping Center and the other off 119th Street in the Overland Crossing Shopping Center.

151 Coffee did not respond to the Post’s request for comment for this story.

151 Coffee construction has started near 91st and Metcalf

  • Some construction crews have started working on the 151 Coffee near 91st and Metcalf, which sits at 9180 Metcalf Ave., near a Natural Grocers, T-Mobile store and Vintage Stock.
  • Overland Park approved the final development plan for the coffee shop project earlier this year.
  • According to city documents, this 151 Coffee location will have outdoor patio seating for patrons and two drive-thru lanes.

151 Coffee at 119th and Metcalf has hit some snags

Dave Claflin from Legacy Development said the plan stands to have 151 Coffee operate out of one of the pad sites at the reimagined Overland Crossing Shopping Center.

However, he told the Post that the deal has met a few barriers, though he wouldn’t say exactly what those problems were.

“We still have a deal in place with 151 Coffee and are optimistic that we will be able to work through all the issues shortly,” he said.

When completed, the 151 Coffee in south Overland Park is expected to share the building with the existing Mattress Firm store.
