JoCo Notes: Order at this OP restaurant this month and money goes to KC nonprofits

One thing to know

A burger and sandwich shop in southern Overland Park is putting part of their revenue toward community causes for the next several days during the holiday season.

The Beef-a-Roo franchise at 135th Street and Switzer Road in southern Overland Park will host a “12 Days of Giving” fundraiser to help raise money for a range of local nonprofits.

Each day of the fundraiser, one dollar from every sandwich purchased at the restaurant will go to a different nonprofit in the Kansas City area.

Here is a breakdown of which day’s proceeds will go toward which nonprofit in Kansas City:

  • Dec. 7: Community Linc, Inc.
  • Dec. 8: Rose Brooks Center
  • Dec. 11: American Jazz Museum
  • Dec. 12: Sherwood Autism Center
  • Dec. 13: Safehome KC
  • Dec. 14: ArtsKC
  • Dec. 15: Kansas City YMCA
  • Dec. 18: Sexually Abused Children’s Relief Endeavor
  • Dec. 19: Team Fidelis
  • Dec. 20: Upper Room KC
  • Dec. 21: Demolay
  • Dec. 22: Greater Kansas City Community Foundation
