A long-awaited burger joint will soon open its doors in Overland Park.
Sickies Garage plans to officially open this month in the former Red Robin space off 95th Street and Metcalf Avenue.
Sickies Garage will operate at 7111 W. 95th St.
- The restaurant has taken over a space on the southwest corner of West 95th Street and Metcalf Avenue.
- Red Robin occupied that space for more than 15 years before closing in spring 2021.
- Sickies Garage will neighbor fellow restaurants Jack Stack Barbecue and Ixtapa Fine Mexican Cuisine.

Sickies serves up “supercharged” burgers
- The restaurant serves a variety of burgers, from macaroni and cheese burgers and jalapeño peanut butter burgers to “porker” burgers (which come with pepper jack cheese, peppered bacon, coleslaw and barbecue aioli).
- In addition to burgers, Sickies Garage’s menu also features items like chicken wings, pulled pork sandwiches, salads and appetizers like buffalo chicken dip and loaded tater tots.
- The restaurant also offers roughly 50 on-tap beers, in addition to other beverages like sodas and milkshakes.
This is Sickies’s first location in Johnson County
- The North Dakota-based chain is also new to the Kansas City metro as a whole.
- Sickies Garage also recently opened a new location in Wichita.
- Outside of Kansas, the company operates in several more states across the country, including Texas, Florida and South Dakota.
