Roger A.C. Allenbrand, 81, of Spring Hill, Kansas, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2024. He was born on August 30, 1942 in Gardner, Kansas to AC and G. Pearl (Smith) Allenbrand.

Roger graduated from Olathe High School in1960. He held a handful of jobs in his lifetime from warehouse shipping to a fast food manager to a police officer, but was known by most as a business owner of a local flooring company, A&M Carpet.

Roger enjoyed anything that was associated with farming, horses, fishing, maintaining his yard and from time to time another unofficial hobby, tinkering with making objects from various forms of scrap metal. And anything his grandchildren were doing, no matter the time of the year or the distance traveled.

Roger, as well as a great husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend, was one of the greatest men of his time. He would talk to anyone and as he listened, you felt that he was genuinely interested in what you were discussing. He demonstrated many outstanding traits that he had passed onto all his family members and friends. He would do almost anything for a family member or friend. He was loved by many and disliked by maybe a few.

In his later years, he spent time volunteering at LifeMission Church. He was also involved in an outreach ministry, the Life Grillers, a group that utilizes grilling as ministry to spread the Gospel of Roger’s Lord and Savior Jesus Christ

Roger is survived by his wife, Sandy Allenbrand, son Todd Allenbrand (wife Jody), his grandchildren, Zephan Allenbrand (wife Taylar), Corban Allenbrand (wife Amber), Jaide Hawkins (husband Sawyer) and his great grandchildren Aryia Rynn (Corban and Amber), Poppy Lynn (Jaide and Sawyer), siblings, Patsy Jackson, David Chance (Brother-in-law), Judy (Doug) Roberts, Curtis (Linda) Allenbrand, Kenny (Patsy) Allenbrand, Mary Jo (Mac) McDaniel and Leland Allenbrand; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, AC Allenbrand and Pearl Allenbrand, siblings, Fred Allenbrand, Merilyn Allenbrand, Nell Ann Dean, Lelia Chance, Woody Allenbrand and Dennis Allenbrand.

A celebration of life will be held Thursday, May 30, 2024 at 10:00am at the LifeMission Church in Olathe, Kansas. Located at 16111 S. Lone Elm Rd., Olathe, KS 66062.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in Roger’s memory be made to:

Life Grillers. Please put Life Grillers in the check’s memo and mail it to LifeMission Church Olathe.
