A brand new mixed-use project in Merriam has started welcoming its first tenants.

Two new businesses recently opened their doors at Merriam Grand Station — coffee chain Starbucks and wellness retailer Supplement Superstore.

Merriam Grand Station is at SM Parkway and Antioch

  • Both businesses opened new stores on the north side of the development.
  • Starbucks is at 8719 Shawnee Mission Parkway, and Supplement Superstore is at 8705 Shawnee Mission Parkway — a relocation from its previous spot further west in Shawnee.
  • Starbucks is open from 5:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, and from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.
  • Supplement Superstore is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Both companies already have other JoCo locations

  • The Merriam Grand Station store marks the 24th stand-alone location for Starbucks.
  • However, the Seattle-based company has several more stores inside grocery stores and other venues across Johnson County.
  • As for Supplement Superstore, the Missouri-based retailer also has stores in Overland Park and Olathe.

More tenants are coming to Merriam Grand Station

  • Next to Supplement Superstore, sandwich chain Jersey Mike’s plans to open a new restaurant at the shopping center soon.
  • Mediterranean chain CAVA will soon open a new location on the other side of Jersey Mike’s.
  • Breakfast eatery HomeGrown Kitchen and Iowa-based brewery 30hop also intend to open new locations at the mixed-use development by early 2025.
