Kirk Torsten Hall, age 70, passed away on Monday, September 2nd, 2024. Visitation will be held at 10:00 am with church service following at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 7th at the Church of the Resurrection Leawood Wesley Chapel Building C 13720 Roe Avenue Leawood, Kansas 66224. Burial and reception to follow at Johnson County Funeral Chapel and Memorial Gardens.

Kirk Torsten Hall was born to Fredrick Samuel Hall and Arlene Marcella Slemmen Hall of Howard, South Dakota on October 21, 1953. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Fredrick and Arlene as well as his father and mother-in law, Larry Arthur and Lucy (Malaponti) Arthur. He is survived by his wife, Debbie (Arthur) Hall, his children Laura, Sam (Rachel), and Josh Hall; grandchildren Lucy, Joelle, and Walker Hall; sister and brother-in-law, Colene (Wayne) Reiser of Brookings, South Dakota; brother-in-law and sister-in law, Larry (Julie) Arthur of North Kansas City, Missouri, and sister-in-law, Nancy Arthur of North Kansas City, Missouri along with many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.

Kirk was raised on a farm in Howard, South Dakota. After his high school graduation from Howard High School, he attended the University of South Dakota before transferring to the University of Kansas (KU) where he achieved a Bachelors in English.

On September 5th, 1981, he married the love of his life, Debbie Arthur. They raised 3 children (Laura, Sam, and Josh). Kirk worked in sales most of his life for multiple companies including Southwestern Publishing, Clark Boardman Callaghan, Thomson West, World Book, and AWE Learning.

He retired in May 2023 to spend more time with his family and friends including his life-long best friend, Joe Pyle. He loved meeting new people and engaging in conversation. He loved reading mystery suspense stories and religious books, genealogy, gardening, and watching television and movies. His favorite memories involved spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He will be tremendously missed by all.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in memory of Kirk to Church of the Resurrection Memorial Fund.
