Olathe Police say a Lenexa man was killed in a motorcycle crash early Monday morning on Interstate 35.
The crash occurred on I-35 between Old 56 Highway and Santa Fe Street.
According to the department’s online calls for service log, officers were called to the northbound lanes of the highway at 1:19 a.m. for an “unknown type accident.”
Olathe firefighters and Johnson County Med-Act paramedics were dispatched to the scene at 1:22 a.m.

Olathe Police Sgt. John Moncayo, in a press release, said arriving officers found a male motorcyclist and declared him dead at the scene.
Moncayo identified the man as James Woodrow, 46, of Lenexa.
By 1:30 a.m., Olathe Police and Johnson County Sheriff’s Deputies had closed the northbound lanes, diverting traffic to 151st Street.
Officers also closed South Rogers Road from East College Way to the roundabout at East Sheridan Street.
A reporter for the Post near the scene could see damage to a guardrail on the shoulder of the interstate and to a chain-link fence along South Rogers Road.
Kansas Department of Transportation crews were called in to handle traffic control for the closure at 151st Street.
