Olathe house fire displaces 1 person, no injuries reported

Olathe and Lenexa firefighters responded to a house fire near West 123rd Street and South Black Bob Road just after 8 p.m. Monday.

A neighbor called 911, reporting a house in the 12100 block of South Fox Ridge Drive was on fire.

Olathe Fire Department spokesperson Capt. Mike Hall said firefighters arrived to report flames from the garage door.

Hall said one adult was checked out by Johnson County Med-Act paramedics at the scene for possible smoke inhalation. He said that the person refused additional treatment.

Firefighters had the flames under control within about 20 minutes.

Hall said one person would be displaced from the house.

No other injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and a damage estimate was not immediately available.
