A café geared toward healthy breakfast fare has set its sights on Johnson County.
Washington D.C.- based Toastique has filed plans to renovate and open in a space in southern Overland Park.
Toastique is coming to 6445 W. 135th St.
- The café aims to take over the space at the Corbin Park shopping center.
- There, it will operate near Mediterranean chain CAVA and Potbelly Sandwich Shop.
- Officials with Toastique said the new Overland Park location is currently on track to open in October.

Toastique serves gourmet toast and other healthy treats
- As implied by the name, Toastique is primarily known for its “fancy” toasts, decorated with toppings like smoked salmon, strawberries and bananas, or tomatoes and burrata.
- In addition to toast, Toastique’s menu also features other healthy eats like acai bowls, overnight oats and granola bars.
- Toastique also serves a variety of smoothies, juices and coffee drinks.
This marks the first Toastique in Johnson County
- The new Overland Park café also serves as the first in the wider Kansas City metro area for the brand — though Toastique does have one other Kansas location in Wichita.
- Founder Brianna Keefe opened Toastique’s first café in Washington D.C. in 2018, focusing the menu around “high-quality, responsibly sourced” healthy ingredients.
- Today, Toastique has nearly 40 locations across the United States.
