Blue Valley School Buzz: Blue Valley athletes win state

Boys Tennis
Blue Valley West Boys Tennis won the 6A state title, marking the team’s third straight championship. Anish Poojari won the singles title and Aarya Anjankar and Francisco Landeras took the doubles title, completing a sweep for the Jaguars.

Girls Swim & Dive
Blue Valley North Girls Swim & Dive claimed the 6A state championship for the second year in a row. Sarah Blake won the 50 and 100 freestyle and Margo Hauser took the 200 individual medley and 500 freestyle. The team of Maddy Timson, Hauser, Molly Stevens and Siena Masilionis won the 200 medley relay. Blake, Masilionis, Liddy McCoy and Charlotte Barton won the 200 free relay, and Blake, Barton, McCoy and Hauser won the 400 free relay. In 5A, Blue Valley Southwest’s Ashlyn Bolyard won the 100 fly, and Willow Weninger won both the 200 individual medley and 500 freestyle. Bolyard, Sophia Sponseller, Molly Hartweger and Weninger also won the 200 free relay.

Track & Field
Blue Valley North’s Audrey Brown won the 6A 800 meters and set a state meet record. Delia Gregory of Blue Valley North won the 400 meters with the fastest time in KSHSAA history. Brown, Gregory, Emma Ramboldt and Evie Kincaid won the 4×400 meter relay. Emma Baum of Blue Valley West won the 1600 meters, and Dylan Cross of Blue Valley Southwest won the 5A pole vault.

Boys Golf
Blue Valley North’s Brady Rapp capped off the spring season by winning the 6A boys golf individual state title.
