An Ohio-based chain appears to have shuttered one of its Johnson County locations.
Fast-casual chain Wendy’s has permanently closed its location at 95th Street and Lackman Road in Lenexa, according to signage at the site.
Wendy’s was at 9510 Lackman Road
- The restaurant occupied a space on the southwest corner of 95th Street and Lackman Road in Lenexa.
- There, it operated near Wallaby’s Grill & Pub and Lackman Wine & Spirits.
- The restaurant had been open there since at least 2012.

Wendy’s still has 13 more locations in Johnson County
- In Lenexa, two more Wendy’s locations are still open for business at 10203 Woodland Road and 8699 Bluejacket St.
- Outside of Lenexa, Wendy’s also still has locations in Shawnee, Overland Park, Merriam and Olathe.
- Wendy’s also has several locations on both the Kansas and Missouri sides of Kansas City.
Another Wendy’s closed in Johnson County
- In April 2024, the Ohio-based chain also closed another Johnson County location — this one further north in Mission.
- At the time of its closure, Wendy’s had been operating in Mission for multiple decades.
- The restaurant at 5900 Roeland Drive was the company’s only location in that northeastern Johnson County city.
