The Post’s weekly high school football game coverage this Friday, Oct. 31, will come to the first-round Kansas Class 6A playoff matchup between Shawnee Mission East and Blue Valley West.
The game, between the 5th-seeded Lancers and 12th-seeded Jaguars will kick off at 7 p.m. Friday night at Shawnee Mission South District Stadium, 5800 W. 107th St., in Overland Park.
This game was the clear winner among four contests the Post asked readers to pick from earlier this week, garnering 51% of the vote and more than 570 votes cast in our admittedly unscientific poll.
Coming in second with 44% of the vote was the matchup down the Class 6A bracket between Olathe North and Shawnee Mission South.
The winner between SM East and BV West will move in the Class 6A playoffs to play the winner of Olathe Northwest and Wyandotte.
