It’s on to Round 2 of the Kansas state high school football playoffs. And there are still plenty of Johnson County teams to root for.
In fact, there are a slate of inter-county matchups in both Class 5A and 6A in what is known as the Regional round of the playoffs. Winners of these games will move on to Sectionals and be two steps away from a state title.
Nearly all Johnson County schools are in either Class 5A or 6A. Check out the current playoff brackets here for Class 4A, 5A and 6A.
Each Friday this fall, the Johnson County Post has been covering one local high school football game. Last week, we watched 12-seed Blue Valley West upset 5-seed Shawnee Mission East in the first round of the Class 6A playoffs.
