A much-anticipated venue offering go-karting, games and more has officially welcomed in its first customers.
On Tuesday, Georgia-based Andretti Indoor Karting & Games celebrated the opening of its new facility on the grounds of the Aspiria corporate campus in Overland Park.
Andretti Indoor Karting & Games opened at 11610 Nall Ave.
- The venue was built on the northwest corner of 117th Street and Nall Avenue, near Aspiria’s eastern entrance.
- The site is also directly west of the Park Place shopping center in Leawood, across Nall Avenue.
- Andretti’s hours vary based on the academic school year (with later hours during school breaks), but it’s currently open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to midnight Sunday.
Andretti offers go-karting, arcade games, and more
- Andretti is primarily known for its electric tracks, which people can race “Superkarts” indoors on.
- The Overland Park facility features four different tracks, which are each designed for a different age group.
- In addition to racing, the 84,000-square-foot facility offers more than 150 arcade games — as well as other activities like laser tag, bowling and virtual reality games.
- The facility also features a full-service bar with local beers and specialty cocktails, as well as food items like quesadillas, pizzas, burgers and flatbreads.
This marks Andretti’s debut in Overland Park
The new Overland Park facility also serves as the first in the wider Kansas City metro, which is currently headquartered in Orlando, Florida.
The company got its start in Roswell, Georgia in 1999. It was founded by the Andretti family, who are prominent in the world of racing.
Today, the company has locations in Kansas, Arizona, Texas, Georgia and Florida. Another two are on track to open in spring 2026 in Illinois and North Carolina.
Shelby McGrath, general manager at the Overland Park facility, said the new venue has seen a lot of buzz so far in just its first couple of days open.
Following its opening in Overland Park, the company also plans to host a “Community Give Back” event benefitting local nonprofit Hillcrest Transitional Housing.
“(I’m excited about) really just sharing all the work that we’ve been putting in with everyone in the community,” McGrath said. “This building is beautiful. It took a lot to get it here.”
