In a statement Monday morning, Master Police Officer Danny Chavez, a spokesperson for Lenexa Police, said Amber Foster’s body was discovered in the 17800 block of West 86th Street.

Foster, 45, was last seen at around 5:53 a.m. on Sunday, according to police, in the 17300 block of West 87th Street Parkway, roughly a mile away from where her body was discovered.

Foster’s vehicle was found in a nearby parking garage.

She was last seen walking on foot west along 87th Street Parkway toward the Canyon Farms Golf Course.

Amber was last seen wearing an orange T-shirt, over a long-sleeve white shirt, and blue jeans.

An image included in Lenexa Police’s initial alert on Sunday evening appears to be from a traffic camera, showing Foster walking in the middle of the street.

Police did not immediately comment on whether they suspected foul play or not in Foster’s death.
