Overland Park Police say a man robbed a Pizza Hut near 75th Street and Metcalf Avenue on Tuesday night.
Officers were called to the business at 7620 Metcalf Avenue at 9:05 p.m. for a reported armed robbery.
Overland Park Police spokesperson, Ofc. John Lacy, said a male entered Pizza Hut and demanded cash from the employees.
The employees reported that the suspect was armed with a “large revolver.”
“The workers complied and gave the robber the money from the cash register,” Lacy said. “The robber then exited the business and fled the scene on foot, headed northbound along Metcalf.”
Lacy said officers set a search perimeter, but the suspect was not located during the search.
No injuries were reported.
Pizza Hut remained open for carryout and delivery after the incident, with customers and employees using a different door than the one the suspect had entered.
No other details have been released.
