A Florida-based ice cream shop has set its sights on its first Johnson County storefront.
Ice creamery and candy shop Pecan Jacks has a new store in the works in Lenexa.
Pecan Jacks is coming to 9707 Ridgeview Road
- The ice cream shop is coming to a newly-built building at the incoming Vista Village development at the southeast corner of Prairie Star Parkway and Ridgeview Road.
- It will be near Kansas City-based brewery KC Bier Co., which plans to open this summer at the new shopping center.
- The plan for the overall Vista Village development calls for restaurants, retail, offices and residential.
Pecan Jacks serves sweets in various forms

- The shop boasts “premium” ice cream in a variety of flavors, from banana pudding and blueberry lavender to key lime pie and red velvet.
- In addition to ice cream, Pecan Jacks is also known for other treats like pralines, chocolates, gummy candies and brittles.
- Pecan Jacks also sells its bourbon caramel and limoncello caramel sauces by the jar.
This marks the first Pecan Jacks in Johnson County
- The new Lenexa store would also serve as the first in the wider Kansas City metro area for the Florida-based company.
- Founders Veronica “Ronnie” and Tim Wyatt launched Pecan Jacks more than a decade ago, and named the brand after their Siberian Husky, Jack.
- Today, the company has locations in several states besides its home state, including Georgia, South Carolina and Texas.
