Jacqueline Hoge, 83, Paola, Kansas passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at University of Kansas Hospice House, Olathe, Kansas. Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 5, 2026 at Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be given to University of Kansas Hospice House. Jacque was born on January 5, 1943 in Kansas City, Kansas to Jack and Mary (Richardson) Applegarth. She graduated from Shawnee High School. Jacque married David Hoge on July 21, 1963 in Shawnee, Kansas. She was an amazing seamstress making draperies, pillows and other tapestries for many local decorators. Jacque was an outstanding cook, known for her pie baking. She had a passion for quilting. Jacque loved to garden and being outdoors.
Jacque was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Mary; husband David and brother Jim Applegarth. She is survived by her son Kenny (Cindy) Hoge, South Range, Wisconsin; daughter Joann (Troy) Blakely, Paola, Kansas; siblings: Liz Cook, Judy (Don) Lauffenburger, Sandy (Melvin) Spears, John (Twila) Applegarth, David Applegarth and Debbie (Ron) Hornick and sister-in-law Holly Applegarth.
