Help fund education reporting in Johnson County: Donate today!

Earlier this year, Report for America selected the Post as a host newsroom for an RFA corpsmember. This reporter, who will join our team in July, will be fully dedicated to covering K-12 education here, providing in-depth, consistent reporting on the policies, challenges and successes shaping our districts — important coverage about these tremendous community assets that’s simply not being produced right now.

Through the partnership, Report for America will fund a portion of the reporter’s salary. The Post is required to raise $30,000 in funds from the community to cover the remainder of the salary, benefits and other costs the come along with adding a staff member.

That’s why we’re asking you to step up today to help our newsroom keep growing and providing even more robust coverage of the place you call home.

With your contributions, we can ensure that education reporting in Johnson County is as thorough and accountable as it should be. You’ll help shine a light on the issues that matter most to students, parents, and educators and strengthen the transparency that keeps our schools strong.

Investing in local journalism is an investment in our schools, our families, and our future. Join us in making it happen!
