A driver was fatally injured in Mission on Friday evening in the northbound lane of Metcalf Ave.. The accident happened at 7:27 p.m., according to Mission police.
According to police, a car headed south in the 5200 block of Metcalf Ave. crossed the median and struck the vehicle headed north. The driver of the southbound car was a male in his 40s, police said. He was taken to the hospital.
The driver of the northbound vehicle was a female in her 50s. She was pronounced dead at the scene from her injuries. Contact had not been made with the victim’s family as of late Friday night.
