- Rainy Day Books is hosting an in-person author event for the new true crime memoir by Jim Cosgrove, better known as the children’s musical artist “Mr. Stinky Feet.” The event is at 7 p.m. at Unity Temple on The Plaza. Tickets are $16 and include a seat for the event and a copy of Cosgrove’s book, “Ripple: A Long Strange Search for A Killer.”

- The Lenexa City Council meets tonight at 7 p.m. with plans to consider five sites around the city for future public art installations

- Prairie Village approved a resolution stating the city’s support for Ukraine, amid the ongoing Russian invasion. The resolution recognizes the invasion as “the Russian government’s violent assault” on its neighbor. City Administrator Wes Jordan also said city staff is working to connect with leaders of Dolyna, Ukraine, Prairie Village’s sister city.
- Shawnee Mission opened summer enrichment enrollment last week. The programming is for students pre-K through 7th grade who want to explore art, music, technology, science and sports-related subjects, according to the district website. The program is hosted out of Trailridge Middle School, and will run from June 12 to July 1 and again from July 11 to July 22. More information can be found online here.
- The Johnson County Stormwater Management Program is reminding residents about Contain the Rain JoCo, which helps homeowners and businesses with sustainable landscaping to control erosion and runoff. It offers homeowners up to 50% reimbursement for materials and installations for certain landscape projects. More information and applications for reimbursements can be found online here.
