Jason’s Deli, a Texas-based soup and sandwich chain known for its expansive menu, is set to open a new location early next week in Overland Park.
The fast-casual restaurant will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Overland Park Chamber of Commerce for its new franchise at 9617 West 87th Street on Monday at 11 a.m.
Its opening in the Library Center Shops
- The new deli is taking over the space formerly occupied by Stagecoach Tavern, which closed in 2020 due to pressures from the COVID-19 pandemic.
- It is also opening up next door to Bear Necessities Coffee Bar, which officially opened earlier last summer in the shopping center.
Jason’s Deli sells soups, sandwiches and salads
- In addition to paninis, wraps, clubs and specialty sandwiches, the restaurant sells muffaletas, a type of sandwich that originated in New Orleans.
- Other items featured on the menu include pastas and a variety of baked potatoes, as well as a salad bar.
- Jason’s Deli also has separate menus for vegetarian and gluten-sensitive options.

This will now be Jason’s Deli’s only OP location
- The company used to have a location in the Overland Crossing Shopping Center, but the restaurant has since been replaced by outdoor apparel brand 5.11 Tactical.
- Jason’s Deli currently has one other Johnson County location at 16535 W. 119th St., in Olathe.
- In total, the Texas-based deli chain has over 245 locations across 29 states, according to the company’s website.
