7 Brew Coffee opens two Overland Park drive-thrus

Drive-thru chain 7 Brew Coffee recently opened its first Johnson County locations in southern Overland Park.

The Arkansas-based coffee retailer officially launched a new location at 11001 Metcalf Ave. on Monday, while its other Overland Park drive-thru at 15027 Metcalf Ave. opened in late January.

The company began with seven original coffee drinks

  • The original coffee flavors included blondie, white chocolate mocha, German chocolate and cinnamon roll.
  • 7 Brew now offers a variety of what it labels “you-nique drinks” that can be mixed in up to 19,000 different combinations.
  • The menu has since expanded to include energy drinks, teas, soda, smoothies and shakes.

7 Brew opened its first location in 2017

  • Based out of Rogers, Arkansas, the coffee franchise operates more than 50 locations in 15 states.
  • 7 Brew has four locations in Kansas, including the company’s new Overland Park drive-thrus, according to the company’s website.

The franchise plans to expand more in the metro

  • EBS Investments LLC, an area franchisee group who owns the 11001 Metcalf location, previously told the Post it plans to open three additional 7 Brew drive-thrus in Overland Park by 2024.
  • Drink House Holdings, which is owned by Jamie Coulter, founder of Lone Star Steakhouse, and Jimmy John Liautaud, founder of Jimmy John’s, took up a majority investment in the coffee company in March 2021.
  • The investment from Drink House Holdings is what has allowed for the rapid expansion 7 Brew is currently undergoing throughout the Kansas City metro, a company spokesperson said.
