This Wednesday marks the first day of Lent. This means the beginning of a Catholic tradition that involves “fasting” for 40 days.
For those who practice, the 40 days of Lent involve abstaining from meat on Fridays. That means the beginning of fish fry dinners on Friday nights, when local Catholic parishes serve fish and other side dishes, like potato pancakes.
The Blue Valley area has a variety of opportunities to stop by for a fish fry dinner during Lent. Here’s where you can find them.
