Structural engineering firm Black & Veatch has expanded its operations further south into Overland Park.
The firm now occupies a 77,000-square-foot office at Overland Park’s Aspiria campus.

The office operates at 6100 Sprint Parkway
- Black & Veatch moved into an office on the north end of the 207-acre campus off 119th Street and Nall Avenue.
- Black & Veatch representatives said 500 employees will move to the new Aspiria office.
- In total, the firm has 2,400 employees across the Kansas City region.
The new office serves as an extension of the company’s headquarters
- The firm’s 600,000-square-foot headquarters operates nearby, at College Boulevard and Lamar Avenue in Overland Park.
- Jim Suhr, a spokesperson for Black & Veatch, said the new office will address the continuing growth of the firm both in terms of staff and the growing demand for its services in the area.
- “Aspiria’s campus meets our space, amenity and atmosphere requirements, and its proximity to our headquarters makes it a natural extension,” he said. “Our federal business currently resides there, with plans to relocate more professionals this month while we continue to evaluate opportunities to better utilize the space at our headquarters. We are also assessing our longer-term facilities needs to support our continued and exciting growth.”
Aspiria has added several new tenants recently
- Black & Veatch joins a growing list of new businesses occupying space at the former Sprint campus — which now has roughly 35 tenants.
- Most recently, Lenexa-based air travel company AirShare announced it will relocate its corporate offices to Aspiria later this summer.
- Another Kansas City area engineering firm, HNTB Corp., relocated to Aspiria earlier this year.
