A Nebraska-based company known for “Heartland quality” steaks has arrived in Overland Park.
Meat retailer Omaha Steaks officially marked its opening in Overland Park with a ribbon-cutting event in July.
Omaha Steaks opened at 6517 W. 119th St.
- The store opened in a space at the Fountains shopping center in Overland Park, just off 119th Street and Glenwood Avenue.
- Meal prep company Dream Dinners previously occupied that space.
- Omaha Steaks is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Omaha Steaks offers “hand-carved” steaks in various forms
- The shop offers a variety of steak cuts, such as filet mignons, ribeyes, T-bones and porterhouses.
- Outside of steak, Omaha Steaks also offers other meats like chicken, pork, prime rib and turkey.
- In addition to meat, the company also offers items like seafood packages, desserts and side dishes like stuffed baked potatoes and creamed corn.
This marks Omaha Steaks’ return to Johnson County
- The Nebraska-based retailer previously had a store at the Town Center Plaza shopping center in Leawood.
- That store closed sometime in 2020, and its former space is now occupied by anti-aging medical spa 4Ever Young.
- In addition to its home state, Omaha Steaks has stores in several other states, such as Colorado, Texas and Ohio.
