‘Dirty soda’ chain Swig opens latest Overland Park location. More are on the way.

The new Overland Park shop serves as the second in Johnson County for the Utah-based chain.

A well-known drive-thru soda shop has officially unveiled its newest Johnson County location.

Swig, known for flavored “dirty” sodas, opened its new Overland Park shop this month — its second one in the county.

Swig opened at 11860 W. 135th St.

  • The drive-thru soda shop occupies a newly-built space at the Quivira Crossings shopping center, just off 135th Street and Quivira Road.
  • There, it operates near McDonald’s and the Price Chopper grocery store.
  • Swig is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.

Swig serves flavored sodas and other sweets

  • The Utah-based chain is primarily known for its “dirty sodas” which are flavored with different syrups and creams.
  • Customers can choose from flavor combinations like the “Spring Fling” (with Dr. Pepper, vanilla, strawberry puree and coconut cream) and the “Beach Babe” (with Mountain Dew, raspberry, peach and vanilla cream).
  • In addition to soda, Swig also serves “Revivers” (flavored energy drinks), “Refreshers” (flavored waters) and flavored hot chocolate.
  • Swig also offers other treats like sugar cookies and pretzel bites.

More Swig locations are coming to Overland Park

  • The Utah-based chain plans to open another shop further north at 6901 W. 91st St. later this year.
  • Closer to the end of the year, a third Overland Park shop will follow at the Bluhawk shopping center, just off 159th Street and U.S. 69.
  • The company’s first Johnson County location opened in Mission in June.
