A Lenexa-based hardware store chain has officially unveiled its newest Johnson County store.
This month, Westlake Ace Hardware store opened its new store near the Monticello Center in western Shawnee.
Westlake Ace Hardware opened at 6515 Silverheel St.
- The new 12,500-square foot store occupies a site just off Shawnee Mission Parkway and Kansas Highway 7.
- There, it operates near the Monticello branch of the Johnson County Library and local bar and grill Tanner’s.
- Westlake Ace Hardware’s regular hours in western Shawnee are 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
Westlake Ace Hardware sells tools, decor and more
- The hardware store offers a wide range of tools and equipment, from hand tools and safety gear to gardening tools and paint supplies.
- In addition to tools, Ace Hardware’s inventory also includes some furniture, decor and lifestyle items, such as luggage, patio tables and outdoor grills — and even some clothing and accessories.
- Westlake Ace Hardware also offers at-home “handyman” repair and maintenance services.
This marks the 13th Westlake Ace in Johnson County
- The new store also serves as the second one in Shawnee for the Lenexa-based company, with another one at 12230 W. 63rd St.
- In addition to Shawnee, Westlake Ace Hardware also has stores in Overland Park, Olathe, Prairie Village, Lenexa and Gardner.
- Across the state line, the company also has several stores in the Missouri side of the metro area.
