A Nebraska-based clothing store has opened its doors at a still-growing southern Overland Park development.
Clothing retailer Buckle opened a new store at the Bluhawk shopping center this week.
Buckle opened at 7840 W. 161st St.
- The store occupies a space at the Bluhawk shopping center, just off 159th Street and U.S. Highway 69.
- The new store is next to bookseller Barnes & Noble at the shopping center.
- Buckle’s regular hours at Bluhawk are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
Buckle offers apparel for men and women

- Buckle is known, in part, for its jeans, which come in a variety of sizes and styles.
- In addition to jeans, customers at Buckle can find a wide variety of clothing items, such as sweaters, T-shirts, dresses and shoes.
- The store also offers accessories like purses, bracelets, hats and sunglasses.
This marks the third Buckle store in Johnson County

- The new Bluhawk store is also the second in Overland Park for the Nebraska-based retailer, which has another store further north inside Oak Park Mall.
- Buckle also has a store at the Town Center Plaza, off 119th Street and Nall Avenue, in Leawood.
- Buckle also joins several new additions to Bluhawk, following the likes of Barnes & Noble and ice cream shop Betty Rae’s, which have opened there in the past year.
- Later this year, soda shop Swig also plans to open at the shopping center.
