Rosetta Kay Hart, 82, Gardner, Kansas passed away Sunday, June 28, 2026 at her home. Celebration of Life will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 1, 2026 at Hillsdale Presbyterian Church, 22875 W. 255th St. Hillsdale, Kansas, 66036. Rosetta was born in Kansas City, Missouri on March 20, 1944 to Bertram Leroy and Ruby Rosetta (Gildehous) Schlagle. She worked as a supervisor for Puritan Bennett for 30 years. Rosetta found joy in life’s simple pleasures and especially loved working on jigsaw puzzles, gardening, swimming in her pool, and creating crafts with her grandchildren. Above all, she treasured the time she spent with her family and friends. During her final year, she was blessed with the companionship and compassionate care of her caregivers, Chanel and Emily, who became a meaningful part of her life and brought her comfort, kindness, and friendship.
Rosetta is preceded in death by her parents; sisters Duane and Darlene and brothers: Jimmy, Lee and Don. She is survived by her children: Janie Lynn Meyer, Kansas, Tammie Sue Mott, Paola, Kansas, Beckie Kay Hart (Troy Davis), Gardner, Kansas and Misty Dawn Pifer (Don), Sandwich, Illinois; sisters Judy McQuay, Georgia and Beulah Zahn, Missouri; grandchildren: Michael, Justin, Jeremy, Taylar, Ashley, Keely, Shane, Madison, Gabe, Jaden, and Soren and 17 great-grandchildren.
