
Mike Allen Goldman, 70, passed away on July 19, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. Born in Kansas City, Missouri, on October 24, 1955, Mike made his home in Overland Park, Kansas, for 44 years.
Mike was a talented musician and songwriter, equally at home behind the drums, on guitar, or singing lead. He was a mainstay of the Kansas City music scene, performing regularly at venues such as BB’s, Knuckleheads, and Firehouse, where he was known and loved by fellow musicians and fans alike.
Mike began his career working in the clothing industry at Hearts Design before earning his degree in HVAC from Johnson County Community College. He went on to spend more than 20 years working in the HVAC field.
Mike married Carol Goldman (née Goldstein) on April 20, 1986.
Mike is survived by his wife, Carol Goldman; his sisters, Sandra Welsh, Deanna Roseman, Shirley Shaltout, and Elaine Quinlan; his brothers, Steven Goldman and Jerry Goldman; his sons, Marty and Shawn Goldman; his grandsons, Kobe, Kyler, and Gage Goldman, Ian Baughman, and Chase Fox; and his granddaughter, Kayrizma Mure; and his great-grandson, Oakland Amari. Mike will be remembered for his music, his warmth, and the mark he left on everyone who heard him play.
Funeral services will be at 10:00am Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at the Louis Memorial Chapel, 6830 Troost Ave, Kansas City, MO 64131. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.louismemorialchapel.com.
