Donald J. Roney of Overland Park, KS passed away at the age of 90 on July 18th, 2026.
Donald was born on June 29, 1936, in Kansas City, MO to Joseph and Faye Roney. While in college at the University of Missouri, he joined the Army and served for four years in the Korean War. Donald worked over 30 years as an Environment Scientist at Bayer.
Donald is survived by his wife, Patricia Roney; his three children, Nathan Roney, Travis Roney, and Janine Ramirez; his two daughters-in-law, Jenn Roney and Lucy Roney; and six grandchildren, Joseph Roney, Anndrea Roney, Sabrina Yan, Enrique Ramirez, Parker Ramirez and Austin Ramirez.
Donald was a devoted and caring husband, father, and grandfather who devoted his life to supporting his family.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, 9100 Mission Road, Prairie Village, KS 66206 on August 1st, 2026, at 10:00 am.
