Fran was born on July 10, 1954 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania to Clarence and Frances (Stark) Betz. He grew up in Pennsylvania, graduating from Lambpeter-Strasburg High School. Fran was a Veteran of the United States Air Force, serving from 1974-1978. He married Joan Randolph on May 14, 1977 in Duluth, Minnesota. They moved to Spring Hill in 1985. Fran owned and operated Integrity Heating and Cooling for 25 years. He enjoyed gardening, hobby airplanes, remote control cars, canoeing and playing the guitar. Fran was a Christian and followed Christ.
Fran was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Joan, Spring Hill, Kansas; daughter Karen Fairbanks, Edgerton, Kansas; son David Betz (Jennifer), Gardner, Kansas; sisters Susan and Ruth and six grandchildren.
