A boba tea shop appears to have closed its doors in Overland Park, at least for now.
Locally owned Flower Tea has closed “indefinitely”, after roughly two years at the Stanley Station shopping center.
Flower Tea is at 7699 W. 151st St.
- The shop occupies a space at the Stanley Station shopping center, which is just off U.S. Highway 69 and 151st Street.
- There, it operated near Dinozaur and Valor Wellness and Aesthetics.
- Before Flower Tea opened in that space, it was previously occupied by SaBells Boutique.
Flower Tea opened in fall 2024
- The shop served a variety of Chinese-style boba teas, from “cream snow” teas (made with cream and milk) to fruity smoothie-style ones.
- The Overland Park shop is Flower Tea’s only storefront.
- Signage at the shop this week said the shop was closed “indefinitely”, and owners did not immediately respond to inquiries about whether the closure was temporary or permanent.
Another boba tea shop is on the way
- A bit further south, another locally owned boba tea shop plans to open at the Bluhawk development.
- Kansas City-based Bruu Cafe is planning to open a new shop there, as part of Bluhawk’s next phase of retail expansion.
- Pending construction, that shop is targeting a summer 2027 opening.
